Officiate the Perfect Wedding Ceremony with This Script (Like a Pro)
Been watching all of your videos because extremely last minute I may be called on to officiate my sister-in-law’s wedding because the officiant they originally hired was pulling some late game shenanigans with doing the exact opposite of your advisement here as they did not listen to the couple at all. So now I’m just trying to take in all I can, review my minister’s manual, and hope for the best for tomorrow. Again, appreciate the videos.
Figaro, Figaro, Figaro, Figaro... 😂😂😂😂😂 That's hysterical...
Your topic isgiving away all our Rabbi’ secrets. Love it. I will think of this often. I do SynagogueTours at the #sandfloorSynagogue and sort of deal with that issue, too.
Friday night I officiated my first wedding and the tips I got from Unboring Weddings made all the difference! Thank you so much for sharing how to start the wedding in a fun way, everyone cheered and felt more relaxed and the whole wedding was more joyful.
Funny story, my first time as officiant for a wedding I told everyone to be sure to silence their phones and halfway through the ceremony a cell phone starts ringing….IT WAS MINE !!😳 I think they got it on video too🤣
Thk you
This video! What a blessing!! Thank you... ❤
Love your videos. Very animated, fun, informative! 🎉❤
Thank you!! ❤
what type of questions do you Put in the questioner for the couple ? help please . thank you!
You're my absolute favorite wedding officiant. Love your confidence, savvy & excellent info. Thank you!! ❤👌💪
Watching the video ❤
Hello Mark, first time listening live. Excited to be here Cesar
👌🤩❤️
Say what? You may now kiss the bride! The most remembered line by most guests lol... 💋❤
Within the province of Ontario, there are only 2 vow styles that satisfy the Marriage Act. Either write and read their own, or repeat after me. The “I do’s” are the declarations of intent which are different from the vows.
One of my biggest fears is messing up the couple’s names. I do have the names printed in larger font (16 pt) and bold in the script. In the case where I am introducing the couple as Mr. & Mrs. And using the groom’s last name - I will write his name phonetically.
#4 so important!
Rehearsals are so important! I start the rehearsal by having the Bride place everyone in their spots for where they will be for the ceremony. Parents and children seated. We then block out the ceremony. Practice the recessional. Then we practice the processional followed by the recessional again.
I only agree with #3 & #4. But then again, we all have our own way of doing things.
The names are printed in the script in large bold font. And yes, practice, practice, practice. Especially the last name….some can be tricky
I just found this video and I will say, after just about 200 weddings, Im glad to know I am doing it right! 😂. My script is in 14 pt font with 1.15 - 1.2 line spacing. The line spacing makes a big difference in readability. The couple’s name is in a larger font and bold. I have invested in a professional lapel mic which gets clipped to the end of my ceremony binder. It does a good enough job amplifying my voice as well as the couple.
The only logical way: Bride and groom walk together, as a pair, to the officiant. It is all about their marriage-contract / wedding. No-one else needs to be involved.
Can the groom be given away to the bride in marriage , can his hand be given to the bride ? It can significe the woman in charge in that wedding/marriage/relationship, what’s wrong? I understand it has never been done in history as our history has always been treating women poorly and placing men on top. Today it’s ridiculous. I even heard People just love traditions and why would they change something they like doing. Nobody wants to go on challenging what’s out there so the bride will always walk second and be given away. I find saddening to hear as I myself a dominant woman and has always knew in relationship I lead and desire to be the provider and leader to the family. I like being in charge . I lead him not the other way around , so these are my values . Unfortunately I got born into a society which not only doesn’t share any of my values but it’s completely opposite to me. I am finding that very disheartening. When looking at wedding customs like this. It’s very disturbing! There will be a question of where is the ceremony with customs and traditions that support my values ? How can I have one that can signify my belief’s system. You would want to be born into a society in which shares values with you and surrounded by people who are like you . I have always felt since childhood society seemed opposite to me and now I have come to realization that I’m very unfortunate being born here . I’m very unlucky to be born here . I wish I’m on some other planet .
Do you have any unique ideas for a ring exchange when one has a webbed ring finger?
You have been beyond helpful as I prepare to officiate my niece’s wedding ( 1st time officiating)! You’ve been a blessing. Thank you
I see no transcript for a Quaich ceremony... :(
I’m officiating my best friends brothers wedding in August. First time!!!
Great advice! People cheer for a football game where the players dont really care about you.Why not cheer at a wedding where alot of people including bride and groom care.
I started Wedding Officiant and I love it! ❤ Love your tips!
Thanks a million! I have to officiate a deaf wedding this month! Your advice is Gold!🤟

Hello from Kendall from Wyoming
I’ve heard you mention that we will send the couple the final script. I think you’ve also said that you don’t want the couple to see the love story…. That you want it to be a surprise. How do we achieve both?
Hello, from PA. Marrying my niece this Saturday, First time ever for me.....Thanks Mark for your System!
Hello, Mark!!! Just hit it off the park with the love story caster! My couple loooved the ceremony script ♥️
Hey, thank you for putting these videos together. Super helpful for a newbie like me. I was asked by my best friend to officiate their wedding and then the next week my nephew asked me to officiate his wedding. My goodness…2 weddings and I never even thought about doing this at all… you are definitely assisting me in my feeling of being overwhelmed. I appreciate you and thank you for these helpful, insightful and wonderfully put together video lessons.
THAT'S MY HORSE!!

How do you write I do and in a marriage ring ceremony plus how do you say it?
I need help my wedding is in 10 days!!! I'm trying to final draft our script. We are doing private vows but we do want to do the traditional repeat after me vows for everyone during the ceremony. I want to say something like "the couple has decided to do price vows but we will be doing the traditional vows for family and friends" or should we just leave it and go into the traditional vows without mentioning that the couple already read private vows to each other. Any responses would be greatly appreciated!!
